It is apparent that Pages does not have toolbars-the inspectors are contextual and you select what you want to see, instead of having a ton of toolbars cluttering space.įor me, I decided to get iWork '09 to have a word processor that works well on the Mac and for a reasonable price. ![]() I can summarize that Pages takes a different "paradigm" in word processing than Word does in the sense that the inspectors are well thought out and eliminate much of the complexity of dealing with formatting in Word. As a user of Word for Windows since version 6.0 came out, and a current user of Word for Windows 2007 (and testing Word 2008 for Mac), I can tell you that what an average person can find is a simpler, yet powerful user interface to a document. This is a question that may generate some polemic answers. ![]()
